Skyline Tavern is a blog space for storytelling, character development, and world-building for the fantastical adventure that is your tabletop roleplaying game (ttrpg).
If you enjoy reading about fantasy adventures, character creation, and Dungeons & Dragons, these articles are for you. Whether you’re a seasoned Game Master (GM) who creates their own content, or a noob who just found out about the world yesterday, there’s something for you in our pages.
Posts are organized into 4 categories:
- Adventure Story: games recaps, either from the GM’s perspective or the player’s perspective.
- Character Discovery: the process of character conceptualization and design. Sometimes the character is created for a new campaign, a one-shot, or becomes a non-player character (NPC) in a future adventure.
- DM Zone: monsters, traps, puzzles, or intrigue. DM Zone is meant to give a Game Master inspiration for encounters in different settings and some stock text to help run their adventure sessions. There are many different ways to introduce conflict without, necessarily, starting a fight.
- Character Retro: review previously played characters, what went well, regrets, and threads left unexplored.
